Icelandic musicians are well known, mostly perhaps for alternative rock music, but Icelandic music is not only about Sigurrós and Björk. Our Icelandic Symphony has gathered praise worldwide, our youth choirs are outstanding, and the music scene covers everything from superb organists trained in famous cathedrals around the world, to death metal bands formed by teenagers.
